    Project Description

    Microneedling or
    Collagen Induction Therapy (CID)

Skin TreatmentsMicroneedling is a versatile treatment applicable to a variety of skin concerns. These indications include but are not limited to scars/acne scars, skin impurities, large pore size, fine lines, deep wrinkles, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation.

Microneedling is a treatment where very fine needles are used to create hundreds of controlled micro-injuries to the skin. These injuries stimulate the skin’s natural restoration processes, thus activating new collagen synthesis at a rate much greater than normal. On the other hand, a variety of active solutions are prepared and infused into the epidermis and dermis to further help strengthening, rejuvenation, and improvement of texture, elasticity and firmness of skin.

The vibrating action of the Microneedling pen results in greater absorption of the product used while minimizing discomfort.

Microneedling is one the safest treatments that leads to unprecedented results with little or no downtime. Microneedling restores skin’s firmness and luminosity, resulting in smoother and younger looking skin.

Treatments may take 30-60 minutes, depending on the targeted area.

Typically, 4-8 treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results.

It is also recommended to avoid sun exposure for 1-2 weeks following treatment and to use a daily SPF and moisturizer.

    Restoring Dermal Volume

As we age, our skin begins to lose its natural volume and elasticity. Collagen protein, which keeps skin cells tightly connected, is reduced and weakened over time; therefore the skin becomes more fragile and paper-thin.

When the skin begins to repair itself after a Microneedling treatment, the body naturally produces increased amounts of new collagen and elastin, which results in improved skin quality and volume. This results in more toned, radiant, and youthful skin.

    Acne Scars

Microneedling has been reported to be a relatively risk-free, simple and effective treatment for scars. The process of wound healing following inflammation, abscess growth, and/or rupture can result in the formation of acne scars. In clinical studies, it has been proven that Microneedling treatments enhance the natural healing process and collagen production; therefore it demonstrates a noticeable improvement in the appearance of acne scars.

    Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is the healing power of the body derived from an individual’s own blood. The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma rich in platelets from larger blood cells. The resulting serum can contain up to 1400x greater platelet content than regular blood. Platelets contain the growth factor that is vital to the activation of natural healing processes. The growth factor stimulates new blood vessels, collagen and elastin formation and improves cell growth.

Creating controlled micro-sized injuries through Microneedling together with infusing the PRP deep into the dermis, greatly amplifies the effect of the treatment, increasing the collagen production up to 1000 times more than normal.
